Terms of Service
Last updated: March 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WhatAI (whataidoineed.com), including the community forum, discussions, articles, videos, tool comparisons, browse pages, search/recommendation features, and any paid or premium offerings (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or using WhatAI you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. The Platform – Community First
WhatAI is a community-driven platform designed to help people discover, compare, discuss, and better understand AI tools, models, workflows, industry developments, and related trends.
The Platform includes:
- user discussions, questions, opinions, experiences and comments
- editorial articles, guides and explainers
- videos and embedded media
- tool directory, browse, filtering and discovery features
- side-by-side comparisons
- search, discovery and recommendation systems
- paid subscriptions or premium features (if and when offered)
Community content reflects the views and experiences of individual users — not WhatAI. Editorial content, comparisons and recommendations are provided for general information and exploration only.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be able to form a binding contract and comply with these Terms and all applicable laws to use WhatAI.
If you create an account you are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- all activity that occurs under your account
- providing accurate information
You must not impersonate others, create misleading identities or use deceptive names/usernames.
3. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and handle personal information.
4. No Professional Advice
All content on WhatAI — whether from WhatAI, editors or community members — is for general informational, educational and discussion purposes only.
It does not constitute:
- legal, financial, tax, investment or accounting advice
- medical, health or safety advice
- professional consulting or business advice
You are solely responsible for your own decisions, due diligence and evaluation of any tools, services, vendors or strategies discussed on the Platform.
5. User Content & Community Posts
You may submit posts, comments, replies, profile information, links, images and other material (“User Content”).
You remain the owner of your User Content, but by posting it you grant WhatAI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, adapt (for layout/moderation), distribute and make it available on the Platform as needed to operate, promote, protect and improve the service — including, where reasonably necessary, after you delete the content for backups, legal compliance, moderation records, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
You represent that your User Content does not violate any law or third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contract etc.).
6. Community Rules & Prohibited Conduct
You must use WhatAI respectfully and lawfully. You must not:
- post spam, scams, phishing, commercial solicitation (except where clearly permitted), or undisclosed affiliate/referral promotion
- post content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful, defamatory, pornographic or excessively violent
- post malware, exploits, viruses or harmful code
- impersonate any person or entity
- post deliberately false or misleading information in a deceptive manner
- scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically copy content without express permission
- interfere with, disrupt or attempt to probe/deface the Platform
- abuse reporting, voting, trust or moderation systems
- attempt unauthorised access to accounts, data or systems
Your participation is also governed by our Community Guidelines (incorporated by reference).
7. Moderation, Trust & Enforcement
WhatAI may use automated systems, human moderators, user reports, trusted-member signals, rate limits and other mechanisms to protect the community and the Platform.
We may (at our sole discretion):
- review, approve, flag, de-rank, restrict visibility, remove, or reformat content for technical, safety, moderation, or display purposes
- suspend, limit, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts or account features
- grant different posting/commenting privileges based on trust history
We are not required to publish, retain or restore any content or account. We are not liable for any moderation decision.
8. Tool Information, Comparisons & Recommendations
Tool listings, comparisons, search results and recommendations are provided to help exploration. They may be based on editorial input, public data, user discussions or internal categorisation — and can become outdated quickly.
Some comparisons, search results, and recommendation outputs may be generated or influenced by automated systems, structured data, editorial inputs, platform logic, or user activity.
We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, current pricing, feature availability, performance, security, legality or suitability of any third-party tool or service mentioned on WhatAI.
Always conduct your own research before purchasing or using any tool.
9. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Services
WhatAI may contain affiliate links, sponsored placements, or links to third-party services. We may earn a commission or other compensation at no extra cost to you if you purchase through certain links. Third-party tools and services are controlled by their own providers, and WhatAI is not responsible for their content, pricing, availability, performance, security, support, or terms.
10. Subscriptions & Paid Features
If we offer paid subscriptions or premium features, you agree to pay the displayed fees and any applicable taxes. Auto-renewing subscriptions will be clearly disclosed at purchase, together with cancellation instructions.
Payments may be processed by third-party billing providers, and your use of those payment services may also be subject to their terms and policies.
Unless required by law, paid fees are generally non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under applicable consumer law (including Australian Consumer Law where relevant).
11. Intellectual Property
The Platform (design, curation, original editorial content, branding, software) is owned by WhatAI or its licensors. Limited personal, non-commercial viewing and use is permitted. You may not reproduce, republish or redistribute Platform content at scale without permission (except as allowed by law).
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, accuracy of content, or that any tool/service will meet your needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhatAI is not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity arising from your use of the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhatAI’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) AUD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. Changes are effective when posted (or on a later date we specify). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Changes to the Platform
We may modify, suspend, withdraw, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, including community features, editorial content formats, search tools, comparisons, recommendation systems, and paid offerings, with or without notice.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to any rights available under applicable consumer law, you agree that the courts of New South Wales, Australia will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
