Higgsfield's Soul ID keeps one character consistent across an entire video series and nothing else I have tried does this reliably
Character consistency is the hardest problem in AI video if you are producing anything serialized. Every tool has a version of this problem. You generate a character in one clip, generate them in the next clip, and they are subtly but visibly different. Different face shape, different eye color, different build. As a series it falls apart.
Higgsfield's Soul ID is the feature I want to write about specifically because it approaches this problem differently from other tools.
You train a custom model on a specific character, a set of images that establish their appearance, and Soul ID uses that trained model to maintain consistent likeness across every subsequent generation. Different scenes, different outfits, different environments, different lighting conditions. The character looks like the same person throughout.
I have been using this for a short form serialized video project across twelve clips. The consistency is not perfect, there are occasional minor variations, but it is far more reliable than anything else I have used for this purpose. Across twelve clips the character is recognizably the same person in all of them, which has never happened for me at that volume with any other tool.
The 3D Camera Control interface is separately impressive. You drag and set camera perspective on a 3D interface rather than describing it in text. Drone shot, low-angle, Dutch angle, whatever you need, you set it visually. The Cinema Studio with professional camera and lens selection adds another layer of control over the aesthetic.
The Cinematic Transitions between different scenes are genuinely smooth and a step above the typical cut or fade.
