Not every AI question fits neatly into a category, and this is where the ones that do not end up. General is the busiest part of the WhatAI forum and usually the first place new members post.
Threads here tend to fall into a few shapes. Someone is choosing between two tools and wants opinions from people who have used both. Someone has hit a wall with prompting and wants to know what they are doing wrong. Someone has tried something new and wants to share a first impression before the reviews land.
It is also where the cross-category questions live. Which model handles long documents best, whether a paid tier is worth it over the free one, how people structure their tool stack when three products overlap. Those questions touch writing, coding and research at once, so they sit better here than in any single category.
