Jensen Huang just dropped the agentic AI bomb at GTC and AI crypto tokens went parabolic, is this the real catalyst we’ve been waiting for? I'm ready for the Bull.
Hey all,
Reader, first time posting in this corner of the forum. I was scrolling through the usual AI and crypto threads when I hit this CoinDesk piece from yesterday and it stopped me in my tracks. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang didn’t even mention blockchain once in his GTC keynote, yet the moment he started hyping the “agentic future” and the explosion of autonomous AI systems, a bunch of AI-linked tokens lit up like a Christmas tree.
NEAR jumped over 10% and hit its strongest level since late January. FET (from the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance) spiked as high as 20% intraday. Worldcoin’s WLD climbed about 10% and was knocking on $0.40 again. Even GRASS, that decentralized network where people monetize their spare bandwidth for AI training, shot up 13% to fresh 2026 highs. Nvidia stock itself closed up around 1.5% after an initial 2% pop.
What really got me was Huang talking about a roughly $1 trillion chip demand backlog through 2027, with hyperscalers making up 60% of the business. He spotlighted the viral OpenClaw project and how Nvidia turned it into an enterprise-safe NemoClaw version so agents can operate without leaking sensitive data. The thesis floating around now is that the next wave of these autonomous agents will need crypto rails – for payments, coordination, identity, decentralized compute – because blockchain gives them a trustless way to interact without everything funneling through Big Tech servers.
It lines up with a lot of the chatter we’ve seen here about agents becoming economic actors. If they’re going to book flights, trade assets, or hire other agents on their own, having native crypto infrastructure suddenly feels less like sci-fi and more like infrastructure.
I’m not saying go all-in on any specific token (this space moves fast and most of these are still speculative), but the narrative connection feels stronger than ever. Centralized AI giants building the chips and models, decentralized networks providing the rails and incentives for agents to run 24/7.
Has anyone here been positioning around AI-crypto plays ahead of GTC, or did this catch you by surprise too? Which projects do you think are best placed for actual agentic use cases – decentralized compute like Render or Grass, agent coordination tokens, identity plays like Worldcoin, or something else? And how much of this rally is just short-term hype versus real fundamental tailwinds from the shift to agentic systems?

Would genuinely love to hear thoughtful takes, especially from folks who’ve been bridging AI and web3 for a while.
Cheers,
