Notion AI's Q and A feature searches our entire company wiki and I use it instead of Ctrl+F now
Our company Notion workspace has grown over three years into something substantial. HR policies, onboarding guides, project documentation, meeting notes, process templates, benefits information, dozens of pages across multiple nested databases. Finding a specific piece of information in it used to mean either knowing exactly where to look or running a keyword search and scrolling through results.
Notion AI's Q and A feature changed how I navigate our own workspace.
I ask a question in plain language. "What is our policy on working from a different country." "How many days of parental leave do we offer." "What is the process for requesting a software license." The AI searches the entire workspace and returns the specific answer with a citation to the source page so I can go directly to the original if I need more context.
For a new employee onboarding question I would have had to know which policy document to open and find the relevant section. Now they ask the question and get the answer in seconds. The citation means they can trust it and verify it rather than wondering if the AI made something up.
The Database Automation is the other feature I use regularly in HR context. I have a database of active job postings. When I add a new listing the AI can auto-fill the summary field and the key requirements field from the full job description I paste in. That saves the formatting step for every listing.
The Action Item Extraction from meeting notes is what I use after all-hands and team meetings. Paste the transcript, get the action items listed with owner and deadline. Stops things from falling through the gaps in a way that re-reading meeting notes does not.
