Education has the most unresolved relationship with AI of any field here. The tools are useful, the policy is unsettled, and the people affected have very different views depending on which side of the desk they sit.
Practical threads cover lesson planning and material generation, differentiation for mixed ability groups, feedback and marking assistance, tutoring and explanation tools, language learning, and administrative work that eats teaching time.
The harder threads cover assessment. Detection tools are unreliable enough to cause real harm when trusted, and assessment redesign is the more durable answer but costs time institutions do not have. Members here disagree productively about where that leaves everyone in the meantime.
