Pitch is turning its AI slide maker into a governed presentation workspace

Pitch Agent now sits beside teamspaces, SCIM, collaboration, batch creation, client rooms, and analytics, but the announced API and MCP layer is still coming soon.

By WhatAI Editorial Team ·

Pitch's most important 2026 change is bigger than a new prompt box. Pitch Agent now works inside a presentation system that spans brand templates, team collaboration, personalised production, client delivery, analytics, and enterprise administration. The May Agent launch introduced on-brand generation and chat-based editing. The June product update then paired Agent improvements with teamspaces and SCIM. Together, those releases clarify Pitch's direction: it wants AI slides to become governed business assets rather than disposable first drafts.

Pitch Agent can start with a prompt, a chosen template, and attached context such as a PDF, text document, or CSV. It can also use a company domain to create a branded template. After generation, a user can ask Agent to tighten copy, change tone, restructure the story, split a dense slide, merge repetitive slides, replace an image, or analyse unanswered objections. Pitch says Agent works from the template's layouts, spacing, fonts, colours, and image direction, with more than 150 additional layouts available when the template lacks a suitable slide type.

That positioning matters because a presentation is rarely finished when an AI produces the first draft. A sales deck still needs product approval, current prices, customer evidence, a review trail, a delivery method, and a follow-up action. Pitch already has assignments, comments, statuses, live co-editing, speaker notes, recordings, links, viewer analytics, and Pitch Rooms. Agent therefore enters a workflow where a team can correct the work, send it, see whether it was opened, and improve the next version.

The new teamspaces strengthen that workflow. A workspace can separate departments, projects, or client groups into open, closed, or hidden areas. Open spaces can be joined by workspace members, closed spaces require an invitation, and hidden spaces are not visible to ordinary members outside them. That is useful for agencies managing multiple clients, companies separating sales and board material, or teams that want shared brand assets without exposing every presentation to everyone.

SCIM adds a second enterprise control by automating user provisioning and deprovisioning. It sits alongside SAML-based single sign-on on Enterprise. This reduces the risk that former staff keep access simply because an administrator forgot to remove an account. It does not solve every governance problem, however. Teams still need clear rules for external links, guest permissions, exports, public embeds, personal data, confidential source files, and which presentations belong in each teamspace.

The commercial value becomes clearest when Agent is combined with variables and batch create. A team can place text or image variables inside a controlled library template, import a CSV, and create as many as 50 personalised decks in one batch. That can remove hours of copying customer names, logos, dates, pricing, and account details. It can also multiply an error 50 times. The safe workflow is to validate the source data, generate one representative deck, review every variable and slide, then approve the remaining batch.

Delivery is another important distinction. Pitch Team includes advanced links and two shared Pitch Rooms, while Business lists unlimited advanced links and rooms. A room can combine presentations, documents, links, videos, action items, a contact, and a call to action in one branded client space. Analytics can show visits, slide views, duration, device, browser, location when known, and email when collection is enabled. Those signals can guide follow-up, but they also make privacy configuration part of the purchase. The organisation sharing the deck must choose a lawful basis, provide appropriate notice, and configure consent and data access correctly.

Buyers should not confuse this workspace story with a finished automation platform. Pitch's homepage currently says an API is coming soon, while the Agent announcement says the company is building API and MCP integrations. Salesforce is also marked coming soon. Those are useful signals about direction, but they are not present-day production entitlements. A team that requires programmatic PPTX generation or an MCP server today should compare a live alternative rather than purchasing on a roadmap statement.

Pricing needs similar care. Pitch is freemium, but the free account receives only 100 lifetime AI credits. Plus, Team, and Business add recurring credits, and extra credits cost $0.004 each when a workspace budget enables them. Pitch's own pages conflict on Plus annual credits: the live pricing page lists 6,000, while the Help Center lists 3,000. Some Help Center text also still calls the current Team plan Pro. The live checkout and workspace settings must be verified before a budget is approved.

Export is the final practical test. Paid plans can export PPTX, but uploaded videos, recordings, animations, transitions, and continuity effects are not preserved as interactive PowerPoint elements. Charts can change, and fonts can fall back. A web-native presentation that looks excellent in Pitch can therefore become a weaker file when handed to a PowerPoint-dependent client. Every buying pilot should include the exact import, edit, share, analytics, PDF, and PPTX path the team will use in production.

WhatAI's take: Pitch is becoming more compelling for organisations where presentation quality depends on the system around the slides. Agent can accelerate creation, but teamspaces, SCIM, templates, collaboration, personalisation, rooms, and analytics are what make the product operationally different. The right test is not whether Pitch makes an attractive deck in thirty seconds. It is whether a real team can produce an accurate, on-brand, approved presentation, deliver it through the required channel, learn from the response, and repeat the process at a known cost without losing control of data, access, or file quality.

ℹ️ WhatAI Field Note

  • Compare the same billing period and realistic workspace. Include paid seats, member limits, annual commitments, AI credits, overage budgets, advanced links, Pitch Rooms, teamspaces, storage, exports, custom fonts, guests, version history, SSO, SCIM, taxes, and the cost of manual corrections.
  • Run one real deck through Pitch and each finalist. Score source grounding, story quality, brand fidelity, editable control, collaboration, personalisation, analytics, delivery experience, AI credits, export losses, correction time, and the final PPTX or PDF opened in the recipient's actual environment.

Pitch combines AI presentation generation with a collaborative slide editor, brand templates, personalised batch creation, client-facing Pitch Rooms, and engagement analytics. Pitch Agent creates and revises editable decks inside a workspace built for the full presentation lifecycle.

How Much Does Pitch Cost?

Pitch has a Free plan and four paid routes. Plus costs $15 monthly or $13 on annual billing, Team costs $23 or $19 per seat, and Business costs $30 or $25 per seat. Enterprise is custom. AI credits, seats, advanced links, Pitch Rooms, teamspaces, exports, storage, and overage credits affect the real cost.

Who Should Choose Pitch?

Choose Pitch when a deck must stay on brand, pass through team collaboration, reach a prospect through a controlled link or sales room, and produce engagement data. Consider Plus AI or PowerPoint when native PPTX editing is the primary workflow, or another platform when a live API, MCP access, or free PowerPoint export is essential.

About Pitch

Pitch is a collaborative presentation workspace for creating, editing, presenting, sharing, and measuring business slide decks. Its central advantage is not only AI generation. Pitch combines a browser-based slide editor, desktop and mobile apps, live collaboration, shared templates, brand controls, client-facing delivery, analytics, and workspace administration in one product. Pitch Agent can generate a complete presentation from a prompt, use a selected template, attach files such as PDFs, text documents, and CSVs for context, or build a branded template from a company domain. Users can then refine the deck through chat by rewriting or restructuring copy, splitting and merging slides, replacing images, matching brand tone, and asking questions about the story, claims, proof points, or objections. The output remains fully editable inside Pitch. The wider editor includes templates, flexible layouts, custom styles, charts, tables, speaker notes, animations, recordings, uploaded video, comments, slide assignments, statuses, and real-time co-editing. Sales and client teams can add text or image variables, import CSV data, and batch-create up to 50 personalised presentations from one library template. They can send live presentation links, create advanced links with engagement tracking and access controls, or collect decks, files, links, action items, and calls to action inside branded Pitch Rooms. Pitch is freemium. Free supports up to five workspace members, unlimited presentations and sharing links, a 10 GB workspace storage fair-use limit, and 100 lifetime AI credits for new accounts. Free exports retain Pitch branding and do not include PowerPoint export. Plus costs $15 per month or $13 per month on annual billing for one member. Team costs $23 per seat monthly or $19 per seat on annual billing for up to 25 members. Business costs $30 per seat monthly or $25 per seat on annual billing for up to 200 members. Enterprise uses custom pricing and requires at least 30 seats. Paid AI allowances vary by plan and billing route, and extra credits cost $0.004 each when a workspace budget permits them. Pitch's own pages currently conflict on the Plus annual allowance: the live pricing page lists 6,000 AI credits per year, while the Help Center says 250 per month or 3,000 per year. The checkout and workspace settings should be treated as authoritative. Pitch is best for founders, sales teams, agencies, consultants, marketers, and larger organisations that need on-brand presentations to pass through team review, client delivery, and engagement analysis. It is less suitable when the required destination is native PowerPoint or Google Slides from the beginning, when a free PPTX export is essential, or when a production API or MCP integration is required today. Pitch says an API is coming soon and describes future MCP connections, but neither should be presented as a generally available integration. AI-generated claims, calculations, citations, images, and recommendations still require human verification. PowerPoint exports also need testing because uploaded videos, recordings, animations, transitions, and continuity effects are not preserved as interactive elements.

Pitch Pros & Cons

Full presentation lifecycle

👍 Pro

Pitch combines generation, editing, collaboration, delivery, client rooms, and analytics in one presentation-specific workspace.

👎 Con

Teams that only need a fast first draft or a native PowerPoint file may pay for workflow features they do not use.

Pitch Agent

👍 Pro

Agent can generate from prompts and files, use templates, refine through chat, replace images, and analyse the deck's story.

👎 Con

Credits are limited, results require human verification, and several AI data and capability details need current contract review.

Collaboration and brand control

👍 Pro

Live co-editing, assignments, comments, team templates, custom styles, fonts, libraries, and teamspaces support repeatable team production.

👎 Con

The most useful roles, history, teamspace, guest, and library capabilities depend on paid plan and workspace structure.

Personalised production

👍 Pro

Variables and CSV-powered batch create can produce up to 50 account-specific decks from one controlled template.

👎 Con

A bad source row, mapping, image, or price can be multiplied across the entire batch without a staged validation process.

Client delivery

👍 Pro

Advanced links and Pitch Rooms support branded delivery, access controls, resources, action items, and measurable engagement.

👎 Con

Analytics create privacy obligations, embedded decks lose advanced analytics, and links or integrations can have different access rules.

Pricing

👍 Pro

A permanent Free plan supports small teams, and self-serve paid prices remain below many enterprise presentation platforms.

👎 Con

Plan naming and Plus credit documentation conflict, paid collaboration requires seats, and credit overages can make cost less predictable.

PowerPoint compatibility

👍 Pro

Pitch can import PPTX files and paid plans can export presentations to PowerPoint for external handoff.

👎 Con

Conversion is not lossless: media, recordings, animations, fonts, charts, and complex layouts can change or disappear.

Enterprise administration

👍 Pro

Teamspaces, SAML SSO, SCIM, European hosting, encryption, roles, and dedicated enterprise support provide a credible governance path.

👎 Con

Enterprise requires a 30-seat minimum, public assurance detail is not a substitute for due diligence, and API or MCP automation is not yet live.

How to Get Results with Pitch: Step-by-Step Workflow

  1. Define the presentation decision

State the audience, desired decision, delivery setting, slide limit, presentation time, brand requirements, accessibility needs, and accountable reviewer.

  2. Prepare approved source material

Collect current facts, charts, pricing, customer evidence, legal copy, citations, and brand assets. Remove unauthorised personal, confidential, or third-party content.

  3. Choose or build the template

Select a tested Pitch template or create a brand system with approved fonts, colours, layouts, charts, imagery, spacing, and accessibility rules.

  4. Generate the first deck

Give Pitch Agent a structured prompt and only the required files. Ask for a logical story, explicit evidence, labelled uncertainty, and no invented figures or quotations.

  5. Review the narrative

Check the opening, argument, sequence, proof, objections, recommendation, and call to action before spending time on detailed design.

  6. Verify every slide

Compare facts, calculations, dates, citations, claims, quotes, images, permissions, and disclaimers with approved sources. Recalculate critical numbers outside the AI.

  7. Refine collaboratively

Assign slides, add comments, use focused Agent changes, record decisions, and require brand, subject-matter, privacy, and legal approval where relevant.

  8. Test personalisation safely

For variables or batch create, validate the CSV, generate one representative deck, test missing and long values, then approve the full batch.

  9. Test delivery and export

Open links as an external viewer, test passcodes, consent, room assets, mobile rendering, PDF, and PPTX. Check specifically for lost video, recordings, animations, fonts, and chart formatting.

  10. Measure the accepted outcome

Record AI credits, creation time, correction time, export issues, reviewer acceptance, viewer engagement, follow-up action, and whether Pitch improved the real business result.

Pitch Gotchas and Limits to Know Before You Start

  • Pitch Free includes only 100 lifetime AI credits for new accounts, not a recurring monthly allowance.
  • Pitch Free does not include PowerPoint export and keeps Pitch branding on exports and links.
  • Plus is limited to one workspace member, so collaborative paid use starts at Team.
  • Pitch's current pricing and Help Center conflict on the Plus annual AI allowance: 6,000 versus 3,000 credits.
  • Some Help Center pages still call the current Team plan Pro, so legacy and current plan names can be confused.
  • Extra AI credits cost $0.004 each and can use a workspace budget or an unlimited budget setting.
  • The real cost depends on seats, credits, billing period, advanced links, rooms, teamspaces, storage, and review time.
  • Pitch's terms say fees are net of taxes, non-cancelable, and non-refundable.
  • Paid plans are offered to businesses or people acting as entrepreneurs under Pitch's terms.
  • The Free plan has a 10 GB total storage fair-use limit, and premium storage is subject to fair use.
  • Pitch Agent output can contain factual errors, unsupported claims, weak structure, and legally risky content.
  • Pitch's AI policy says not to enter sensitive personal data or unauthorised business secrets.
  • The no-training statement is written for the Generator feature and predates the full Pitch Agent release.
  • Pitch Agent can currently replace an existing image but the Help Center says it cannot add an image where no image block exists.
  • Complex PowerPoint imports can change or omit unsupported elements.
  • PPTX export does not preserve uploaded videos, recordings, animations, transitions, or continuity effects as interactive elements.
  • Charts may look different in PowerPoint, and fonts can fall back when they cannot be embedded or are not installed.
  • PowerPoint export is unavailable on mobile and while offline, and decks can only be exported one at a time.
  • Offline mode requires preloading and excludes AI, integrations, library media, sharing, exports, version history, and administration.
  • Advanced analytics can process visitor data, making the sharing organisation responsible for lawful notices and settings.
  • Embedded presentations do not collect advanced analytics.
  • A Notion page can expose a Pitch embed more broadly than the presentation's Pitch access setting, so both systems must be checked.
  • Batch create can repeat one data or mapping error across as many as 50 presentations.
  • An API is marked coming soon, and future MCP integrations are announced rather than generally available.
  • Salesforce is listed as coming soon, not a current working integration.
  • Enterprise SSO, SCIM, onboarding, support, service scope, and data requirements depend on the contract.
  • AI-generated or third-party images, logos, fonts, video, and embedded content still require appropriate rights.
  • Any deck used for investment, financial, legal, medical, employment, or public claims needs specialist human review.

Which Pitch Feature Fits Your Use Case

Feature Good for Common mistake Fix
Pitch Agent generation Creating a branded first draft from a clear brief, selected template, and approved source files Using a vague topic prompt and presenting the resulting narrative as researched fact Specify the audience, decision, approved evidence, required sections, exclusions, tone, and review owner, then verify every slide
AI chat refinement Rewriting, restructuring, splitting, merging, and pressure-testing existing slides Making broad changes across a finished deck without preserving approved numbers, legal copy, or source meaning Lock critical facts in the instruction, change a small selection at a time, and compare the result with the approved source
Brand templates and slide styles Helping distributed teams create recognisable presentations without starting from blank slides Treating colours and fonts as the complete brand system Define layouts, spacing, image direction, chart rules, accessibility, approved components, and examples before scaling Agent use
Variables and batch create Producing account-specific sales decks, proposals, and event presentations from one governed template Generating 50 decks before checking CSV mapping, missing values, stale prices, name lengths, and image aspect ratios Validate the source data, generate one sample, test every variable and slide, then approve the batch
Advanced links and analytics Understanding whether a prospect opened a deck, which slides were viewed, and how long the visit lasted Collecting visitor data without a lawful basis, clear notice, appropriate consent setting, or access policy Have the privacy owner configure analytics, consent, retention, email collection, and disclosures before external use
Pitch Rooms Combining a deck, proposal, videos, documents, next steps, and contact details in one client-facing space Using a room as an uncontrolled file dump or assuming every linked resource follows the room's permissions Include only decision-relevant assets, test every link and embed, set expiry or passcodes where needed, and define an owner
PowerPoint import and export Moving established decks into Pitch for collaboration or handing reviewed content to PowerPoint users Assuming every font, chart, media block, animation, and layout survives conversion unchanged Compare imported slides with the source and inspect every exported slide in the target PowerPoint version before delivery
Teamspaces, SSO, and SCIM Separating presentation work by department, client, or project and controlling enterprise membership Treating a teamspace as a complete data-loss-prevention or records-management system Map open, closed, and hidden access, test admin boundaries, automate deprovisioning, and document external sharing rules

Pitch — Frequently Asked Questions

What is Pitch?

Pitch is a presentation workspace for creating, editing, collaborating on, presenting, sharing, and measuring slide decks. It combines Pitch Agent, a flexible editor, templates, brand controls, real-time collaboration, live links, analytics, Pitch Rooms, and workspace administration.

Is Pitch free?

Yes. Pitch Free is listed at $0 forever and supports up to five workspace members, unlimited presentations, unlimited basic sharing links, custom templates, 100 lifetime AI credits for new accounts, and 10 GB total storage under a fair-use policy. Free exports and links retain Pitch branding, and PowerPoint export is not included.

How much does Pitch cost?

Plus costs $15 per month or $13 per month billed annually for one member. Team costs $23 per seat monthly or $19 per seat on annual billing. Business costs $30 per seat monthly or $25 per seat on annual billing. Enterprise pricing is custom and has a 30-seat minimum. Taxes, currency, promotions, legacy plans, and contracts can change the checkout total.

What is Pitch Agent?

Pitch Agent is an AI collaborator inside Pitch. It can generate a presentation from a prompt and template, use attached files as context, create a brand style from a domain, revise slides through chat, split or merge slides, replace images, answer questions about a deck, and draft follow-up content.

Can Pitch Agent use my documents?

Yes. Pitch's AI presentation page names PDFs, text documents, and CSVs as supported context. Buyers should test real files for extraction quality, remove unauthorised personal or confidential data, and verify every figure, claim, quotation, and source after generation.

How do Pitch AI credits work?

AI actions consume credits. New Free accounts receive 100 lifetime credits. Paid plans receive recurring allowances, and extra credits cost $0.004 each when a workspace budget enables them. Pitch's official pages currently conflict on the Plus annual allowance: live pricing lists 6,000 credits per year, while the Help Center lists 250 monthly or 3,000 yearly.

Does Pitch export to PowerPoint?

Yes, on paid plans. Pitch can export text, shapes, tables, speaker notes, charts, and some embedded video information to PPTX. Uploaded videos, recordings, animations, transitions, and continuity effects are not preserved as interactive PowerPoint elements. Fonts and charts may also render differently, so the exported file must be tested.

Can Pitch import PowerPoint files?

Yes. Pitch imports PPTX files, including slides, common images, text, embedded YouTube and Vimeo videos, simple shapes, tables, speaker notes, charts, and SmartArt. Unsupported or complex elements can look different or be absent, so compare the imported deck slide by slide before continuing work.

Does Pitch have presentation analytics?

Yes. Advanced links can report visits, time spent, viewed slides, device and browser, location when known, and visitor email when collection is enabled. Pitch also offers consent controls. The person or organisation sharing the presentation remains responsible for lawful notices and handling of visitor data.

What are Pitch Rooms?

Pitch Rooms are branded client-facing spaces that can contain presentations, files, links, embedded resources, action items, a contact, and a call to action. Teams can share a room through a controlled link and review analytics. Team includes two shared rooms, while Business lists unlimited shared rooms.

Can Pitch create personalised decks in bulk?

Yes. Teams can add text and image variables to a library template, import CSV data, map columns to variables, and batch-create up to 50 presentations at once. The process still needs validation because one mapping, pricing, or data error can be repeated across every generated deck.

Does Pitch work offline?

Partly. Preloaded presentations can be created, edited, presented, commented on, and organised while offline. Integrations, library media, template browsing, sharing, exports, version history, AI features, and several administrative functions require a connection. Users should preload decks and export required files before travel.

Does Pitch have an API or MCP server?

Not as a generally available public product in the current official material. Pitch's homepage says the API is coming soon, and its 2026 Agent announcement says it is building API and MCP integrations. Buyers should not purchase on the assumption that production API or MCP access is already included.

Does Pitch use customer data to train AI?

Pitch's AI policy says it does not use customer data to train the Generator feature and that external service providers support AI features. The policy predates the full 2026 Pitch Agent release, so organisations should review the current subprocessor list, DPA, contract, and any Agent-specific documentation before uploading sensitive data.

Is Pitch secure?

Pitch says its infrastructure runs on AWS in European regions, data at rest uses AES-256 encryption, server communications use TLS, production and testing networks are segmented, and daily database backups are retained for up to 30 days. Enterprise buyers should still request current audit reports, incident terms, access controls, retention rules, and subprocessor details.

Does Pitch have an affiliate program?

Yes. Pitch operates an application-based program through Cello. The public page advertises a 30 percent cash commission on the referred subscription, capped at $100 per referred user. Referred customers receive 30 percent off for six months or 15 percent off an annual subscription for twelve months. Self-referrals are prohibited.
