We built a Proposal Generator inside Claude that follows our exact formatting rules every time
I run a small digital agency. Proposal writing is something we do constantly and the quality and consistency of proposals matters commercially. Different team members write in different styles, things get missed, the formatting drifts. I wanted a system that enforced our standards rather than depending on whoever happened to write it that week.
Claude's Custom Skills feature is what made this possible. You build a repeatable tool inside Claude with specific instructions, formatting rules and output requirements. Our Proposal Generator now takes a client brief and produces a proposal that follows our exact structure, our pricing presentation format, our case study inclusion rules and our tone guidelines every single time regardless of which team member runs it.
The Projects feature is the foundation this sits on. We have a Project workspace with our brand guidelines, past proposals, client case studies and service descriptions uploaded as permanent context. Claude draws on all of that for every proposal it generates without us having to re-explain our business each time.
Custom Instructions at the account level define the voice and identity so Claude knows it is operating as our agency rather than as a generic assistant. The External Connectors mean it can pull from Google Drive documents that get updated rather than working from a static upload that goes stale.
The Artifacts feature is separately useful for client-facing work. When we need an interactive calculator or a simple tool to embed in a proposal or on a landing page, we generate it in Claude and publish it directly from the chat. No developer required for straightforward interactive content.
