WhatAI Claude Forum Discussions
Claude tends to be the tool people move to for a specific reason rather than the one they start with, so discussion here skews toward particular workloads rather than general use.
Long documents come up constantly. Members compare how it holds detail across large inputs, where the useful limit sits in practice against the advertised context window, and how it handles multiple files at once. Writing quality is the other recurring theme, particularly for people who found other tools produced competent but characterless prose.
The frustrations are equally well covered. Usage limits on the paid plans catch people out and the threads about managing them are practical. Refusals on requests that seem reasonable generate regular discussion. Coding work, Projects, and artifacts each have their own patterns worth learning rather than discovering by trial.
Access surface comes up more than expected. The chat interface, the API, the desktop and mobile apps, and the developer tooling each expose different capabilities and limits, and a feature someone describes may not exist where you are looking for it. Threads that specify which surface they are talking about are the ones worth trusting.
Comparisons against ChatGPT and Gemini on the same task are welcome, and specific ones are far more useful than general preference. For the WhatAI editorial view on plans, capabilities and fit, see the Claude tool page. For model-level comparison, see Frontier LLMs & Chat Models.
