Made a 20-slide investor deck in under 2 hours with Beautiful.AI, here's what I actually think
I have a complicated relationship with PowerPoint. I know it well enough to make good decks but it takes forever and I resent every minute of it. Someone on my team suggested Beautiful.AI so I tried it on a real deadline and here's the honest version.
The document-to-presentation feature is the headline. You upload a PDF, Word doc, or Google Doc and the AI reads it, pulls out the key points, and builds a structured outline with slides. It's not perfect, you'll be moving things around and rewriting some slides, but as a starting point it saves probably 40% of the time versus building from scratch.
Prompt-to-presentation also exists. You describe your goal and it generates a draft. I found this less useful than the document upload approach because you still have to feed it good raw material, but for quick rough drafts it's fine.
The slide design itself is where it earns its name. Layouts adjust automatically as you add or remove content, you don't end up with text running off slides because you added a bullet point. That sounds minor until you've spent 20 minutes manually reformatting a slide at 11pm before a morning meeting.
Collaboration features are there for teams. Version history too.
Not perfect for highly bespoke creative decks where you want full design control. But for professional business presentations on a time crunch it's genuinely good.
