Made my first ebook lead magnet in an afternoon using DesignRR, here is how it went
I run a small email newsletter in the personal finance space and I have been wanting to create a lead magnet for ages. Every time I looked at doing it properly in Canva or InDesign I got overwhelmed and put it off. Found DesignRR after going down a rabbit hole on digital product creation and it was a lot more practical than I expected.
The basic idea is that it is built specifically for ebooks, PDFs, flipbooks and audiobooks. You can start from scratch, use a template, paste in existing content from a blog post or Google Doc, or let the built-in AI writer called Wordgenie draft something for you. For me I imported an existing article I had already written and it pulled it straight in.
The template library is genuinely good and organized by niche which saves a lot of time. The editor lets you adjust text, fonts and colors and there is a media library with stock images built in. One thing worth knowing: do your major text edits before you import because heavy revisions inside the editor are fiddly.
The feature I used most was Global Changes, which applies a header or footer edit across every page at once. Sounds like a small thing but if you have a 30-page ebook and need to update your logo or branding it saves a lot of manual work. Export options are standard PDF or interactive flipbook. The 3D cover and mockup generator is on the Pro plan and useful for marketing the finished product.
