Built a proper responsive website in Framer from a text prompt and I still cannot quite believe it

Background: I am a freelance copywriter. I know nothing about web development. My previous website was a Squarespace template I was embarrassed by every time I sent someone the link.

Tried Framer because someone in a freelancer group mentioned it and I had an afternoon free. The AI site generation feature, which they call Wireframer, lets you describe your website in a text prompt and it builds the full layout automatically, responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile. Not a rough sketch, an actual working layout with real sections and real design logic.

Editing after generation is intuitive in a way that other website builders are not. You click on text and change it, drag handles to adjust spacing, swap images out. There is no fighting with a grid system or trying to understand why something is not aligning properly.

The Workshop Plugin for AI component creation is worth knowing about too. If you need something more complex like an interactive card with hover effects you describe it in text and it generates the component. I used this to build a testimonials section that would have taken me hours to figure out manually.

Publishing is one click to a free Framer subdomain. Custom domain is included on the yearly paid plans. My new site has been live for three weeks and I have had two clients mention it specifically, which has never happened before.
