Does anyone else use Firefly Boards for concepting? It changed how I start creative projects
Not sure how many people here use Firefly specifically for the Boards feature rather than just the image generator but I want to talk about it because I think it is genuinely underused.
I do fashion and illustration work and the concepting phase used to be a mess of saved Pinterest boards, reference folders and screenshot dumps that I would stare at trying to extract a direction from. Firefly Boards replaced all of that. You pull in images from Adobe Stock, upload your own reference art or video, and search for inspiration directly inside the interface. The Arrange feature automatically organizes everything visually so you can actually see patterns in what you have collected.
The part that changed my process most is the Remix generation. You select a handful of images from your board and it generates new images that blend the visual elements across all of them. So if I have three references with different aspects I want to combine, a silhouette from one, a texture from another, a color palette from a third, the Remix pulls those together into something new rather than me having to describe it from scratch in a prompt.
Style and composition referencing works alongside this. You pin a specific image as a style guide and the AI uses it to keep new generations consistent with that look. For mood board work that is much more reliable than trying to describe a visual style in words.
The integration with Photoshop at the end of the concepting phase means the handoff to final work is seamless rather than a separate export step.
