What the AI actually does: it optimizes strategy parameters based on historical data for a selected asset and timeframe. It is not generating novel trading logic. It is finding parameter combinations that would have performed well in the specified historical window.

The limitation worth understanding: past parameter optimization does not guarantee future performance, especially in different market regimes. A strategy optimized for a trending period may underperform in ranging conditions.

Where it is genuinely useful: getting a reasonable starting configuration much faster than manual backtesting would allow, then adjusting based on live paper trading results.
