Loom AI is Atlassian's AI-enhanced video communication platform for recording a screen, camera, meeting, or narrated workflow and turning it into material people or software can act on. Core Loom recording supports screen and camera capture, instant link sharing, transcripts, captions, comments, analytics, and team libraries. The Business + AI plan adds automatic summaries, chapters, tasks, filler-word and silence removal, transcript-based editing, meeting notes and recaps, and workflows that convert a recording into documents, messages, Jira or Linear issues, and other structured outputs. Loom's newer Video Prompts beta captures narrated screen actions, keyframes, clicks, hovered elements, and visited links to create an agent-ready Action Plan that can be reviewed, copied to an AI agent, or converted into Jira work items. Loom is strongest for asynchronous explanation, feedback, documentation, bug reporting, onboarding, meeting follow-up, and agent instruction, rather than cinematic production or complex timeline editing.
