Loom's auto-generated titles, summaries and chapters turning recordings into searchable content is the feature I was not expecting to matter this much

I started using Loom for quick screen recordings and only later realised the AI post-processing was changing how useful the recordings were. The AI features overview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOUNuMD_lsM covers the automated pipeline that runs after every recording. Auto-generated titles and chapters are the searchability features. A screen recording library where every video is titled by what it actually covers and chaptered by the topics within it is a different archive from a chronological list of files with generic names. Finding the specific recording where you explained a process three months ago takes seconds rather than minutes of scrubbing through recordings. The AI video editing removing silences and filler words automatically is the quality improvement that makes recordings shareable without manual editing. A recording that is clean and paced correctly without any editing work changes the threshold for when it is worth making a Loom versus writing an email. The use cases being meeting recordings, quick comments on documents, product walkthroughs and team communications are all contexts where the quality floor improvement matters. The AI-generated summaries turning video content into text you can skim is the accessibility feature that changes who will actually consume the content. Recipients who would not watch a full recording will read a two-paragraph summary and click into the specific chapter they need. Has the AI post-processing changed how often you make Loom recordings or just how useful the ones you make are?

Loom AI cleans up my screen recordings automatically and I stopped noticing it was doing it

I use Loom constantly for async communication with clients and remote team members. Quick walkthroughs, bug reports, project updates, anything that would be a long email or a meeting that could be a short video instead. The AI features that have been added to Loom are the kind that are easy to underestimate because they work in the background and you stop thinking about them. Filler word removal is the one I appreciate most. Every recording I made used to have a scattering of "um" and "uh" that I would either leave in and feel slightly embarrassed about or go back and edit out manually. Loom AI detects and removes them automatically after recording. The result sounds noticeably more professional without any effort on my part. Silence trimming works alongside that. Long pauses while you are thinking or navigating between screens get cut out so the video stays at a reasonable pace. Again, this used to be a manual editing step and now it just happens. The auto-summarization generates a title and a written summary of the video immediately after recording. For clients or colleagues who want to know whether they need to watch something before committing the time, that summary is genuinely useful. The chaptering feature breaks longer videos into labeled sections so people can navigate directly to the part relevant to them. The document generation feature is one I use less often but it is useful when it matters. It can take a video walkthrough and turn it into a written bug report or a structured document, which saves the step of writing up something you have already explained on camera. Saw the AI features properly demonstrated for the first time at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_ptEt4pYhw and realized I had been leaving several of them switched off by default without knowing it.
