WhatAI Sudowrite Forum Discussions
Sudowrite is a browser-based AI writing workspace built primarily for fiction authors, novelists, screenwriters, and long-form storytellers. It combines an editor with story planning, prose generation, revision, feedback, series continuity, model selection, and user-created Plugins. Writers can start from an existing manuscript or develop a project through Story Bible components such as genre, style, synopsis, characters, worldbuilding, outline, scenes, and chapter prose. Its specialised tools include Write, Draft, Rewrite, Describe, Expand, Brainstorm, Quick Edit, Feedback, Canvas, Visualize, and a story-aware Chat. Chat can operate in a discussion-only mode or, with explicit editing permission, create and revise documents, update Story Bible entries, leave comments, highlight text, use Feedback, propose multi-step plans, and research the web. Sudowrite also offers Muse, its proprietary fiction model, Ballad 1.1 in the Excellent Prose Mode, and a wide model selector containing third-party options with different quality and credit costs. Sudowrite is strongest as an interactive creative and revision environment, not as an autonomous book publisher. Writers remain responsible for plot choices, continuity, fact checking, prose selection, rights review, disclosure requirements, and final editing. The company says it does not train AI models on users' writing and that generated writing remains the user's intellectual property, but legal copyright protection can still depend on jurisdiction and the degree of human authorship.
