This category is for the effects of AI that are not about any particular tool: what changes in culture, information and daily life as these systems become ordinary.

Threads cover the information environment and what happens to trust when generated content is indistinguishable from recorded content, creative industries and attribution, education and what is worth teaching, relationships and the growing use of AI for companionship, and the accessibility gains that get less coverage than the harms.

Access and inequality run through most of it. The gap between people with capable tools and people without, and between languages with strong model support and those without, has consequences that compound.
