Leonardo AI has some image editing features that other generators do not have and they matter

I use AI image generation regularly for client work, mostly product and lifestyle imagery. The generation quality across the major tools has converged enough that it is the editing and refinement features that now differentiate them for professional use. Leonardo AI has a couple of things here that I have not found done as well elsewhere. The Flow State tool is worth starting with for any new project. It is a visual brainstorming canvas designed for rapid ideation at low token cost. You use it to establish the look and feel you are going for before committing to full generations, which saves a lot of wasted credits on directions that turn out to be wrong. Image Guidance using Content References is the feature I find most useful. You give the model an existing photo and it uses the form and structure of that image to guide generation rather than working from a text prompt alone. For client work where you need to match a specific compositional style or product angle this gives you much more reliable results than prompting alone. The Nano Banana editing tool is what I reach for when a generated image is close but not quite right. It does content-aware editing on specific details without disturbing the rest of the composition. Adding a logo to a product, changing a label, adjusting a specific element, without the surrounding image shifting. That level of precision is not something most AI image tools handle well. The Kling 2.5 integration for turning still images into cinematic video sequences with camera control is also built in if you need to go from image to motion. I had been using other tools by habit before watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yH9z7X48uzA which showed the editing features properly for the first time and made me switch a meaningful chunk of my workflow over.
